Floyd J. Rommel, Marie McDonald Robert Caporale and George W. Gibson Scholarship
This scholarship is available to children and grandchildren of all NAESA Members.
Each year, NAESA International’s Board of Directors awards four scholarships, one in honor of Floyd J. Rommel, one in honor of Marie McDonald, one in honor of Robert S Caporale Sr. and one in hour of George W. Gibson to the child or grandchild of four NAESA International members in good standing. The amount of each scholarship to be awarded in 2025 is $3,000.
A Scholarship Selection Committee has been appointed by NAESA’s President to review applications from individuals wishing to be considered for the scholarship. The Committee is made up of professionals in the elevator industry.
Applicants must be under the age of 21, have graduated from high school or equivalent, and enrolling in their first year of post-secondary studies. The Scholarship Committee will only consider those applications received on or before May 31, 2025.
Individuals wishing to apply for the scholarship must submit the following information between March 1st and May 31st, 2025 to NAESA International:
- NAESA Scholarship Application Form
- High school transcript
- A minimum of one and maximum of five letters of recommendation
- Completed and filed a college admission application
- A recent photograph, black and white or color (can be sent digitally)
- Optional other information such as college acceptance letters, awards, etc.
Scholarship monies will be sent directly to the College Registrar or the Financial Aid Officer indicated by the applicant. The Registrar or the Financial Aid Officer will administer the monies in a manner consistent with each institution’s policies.
The recipient is responsible for making all arrangements for college admission, acceptance, and enrollment, and for ensuring the Scholarship Committee is notified by the authorized college officer of the recipient’s enrollment.
Recipients may use the scholarship to attend any technical training school, junior college, four-year accredited college, or university of their choice. In order to receive the Scholarship, the recipient must attend the 2025 fall term of the college selected and take a full course load leading to graduation.

John Steele Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is available to the children and grandchildren of all Canadian Region Members in good standing.
Each year, NAESA Canadian Region will award four scholarships in memory of John Steele. The scholarships will be awarded to the son, daughter, or grandchild of a NAESA Canadian Region member in good standing, whose membership remains active. The NAESA member must attend 1 Canadian Region workshop in the last two years to be eligible for there son, daughter or grandchild to submit an application. Scholarships will be awarded to the top 4 candidates. The amount of each scholarship to be awarded in 2025 is $1000 each.
Applicants must be under the age of 21, have graduated from high school or equivalent, and enrolling in their first year of post-secondary studies.

The Officers of the Canadian Region will review applications from individuals wishing to be considered for the scholarships and will consider only those applications received on or before July 15, 2025.
