This presentation will focus on how the electrical and elevator code partner in order to provide a code-legal installation of elevator equipment. NFPA 70, otherwise known as the National Electrical Code, has been a companion of A17.1 and now A17.1/B44 for many decades. The discussion will illustrate requirements from NFPA 70-2014 and ASME A17.1-2013/CSA B44-13.
